Free Trial

The best way to evaluate a product is to try it for yourself. We offer a free, fully functional trial of our software, so that you and your staff can test all of our features and compare us to other products on the market. The trial requires Vista, Windows XP or 2000. The trial does not allow you to add new families, but you can use any of the patients included in the trial database.



Installation Instructions

  1. Press the above download button and a new window will open. Select the run button at the bottom of this window and the demo will download and the setup program will automatically start.
  2. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard. Once it has finished, go to your desktop and find the icon Demo Installer. You will RIGHT click on this and then select "run as administrator". This will open the setup program.
  3. You will see the screen below. Please make sure you check and uncheck the boxes exactly as shown below. You do not need to use the top 3 buttons.
  4. When you have it looking like this, click ok and follow the instructions until finished.
  5. You can now launch the demo program from the desktop icon. It will take you to a choose database window. Using the drop down arrow in the second box, select Demo as your database and click Ok.


Important Notes: The demo version will not allow you to add new families or patients. Scanning features are also unavailable in the demo.

Troubleshooting

  • If you get the error: Database not Found when first running the demo, then the software was installed incorrectly.

    1. To fix this problem, open the program installer.exe which is located on the C: drive in the Program Files/Prime Dental folder. Run this program. when the installer opens, check the following circle: New Server, then hit the install button at the bottom right. This will launch the MySQL install program (you can skip the section regarding online registration). Please uncheck the box labeled configure server. This will then copy several files. You can then close the installer and re-run the program.
  • If you are having problems running this on Vist, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10:
      Right click on the desktop icon and select "run as Administrator" from the drop down menu. Run the program and it should work. Note: you only have to do this one time per computer, then you can launch normally from the desktop icon.
